In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am especially grateful for the many partnerships with our dedicated Erickson School faculty and staff, alumni and friends, and donors. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our students – and ultimately, older persons – through our shared commitment and passion to the business of aging.
To that end, I am excited to announce the Diane Tichnell ’70 Aging Gracefully Graduate Scholarship that will help graduate students achieve their career goals as leaders in the longevity economy. Through Diane’s generous gift, this endowed fund will bring students’ dreams in reach and open new doors of opportunity.
You can read more about Diane and “Meet a Retriever” here.
Diane’s gift reminds each of us of the power of giving – and the impact we can have today to create a stronger tomorrow. As one of UMBC’s original “Founding Four” and a proud 1970 Political Science alumna, Diane’s inspiring generosity reflects our true Retriever spirit. Thank you, Diane!
Gratefully,
Dana Burr Bradley, Ph.D. FGSA, FAGHE
Dean
