Dorothea Johnson, M.A., M.S.N., R.N.

Dorothea Johnson

Dorothea Johnson is presently a full-time associate professor of Nursing at Northern Virginia Community College. Since 2010, she has also served as a part-time lecturer for the Erickson School of Aging. She also continues her clinical practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia.

 

Ms. Johnson has 27 years of experience in health care with a variety of clinical, management, and pedagogy backgrounds. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a minor in Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska. She also holds a Masters in Management of Aging Services from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, as well as a Masters in Science of Nursing from George Mason University.

 

Ms. Johnson’s areas of professional interests include the study of aging and geriatrics, along with instructional methodology and design.
