UMBC offers tuition benefits for select graduate programs for students living out-of-state. The new regional graduate tuition rate will enable students pursuing their graduate degree in the Erickson School of Aging Studies to receive in-state tuition rates, while living over the Maryland line. UMBC is focused on accessibility and affordability.
Maryland tuition rates will be applicable to students living in these areas:
- District of Columbia: Any resident
- Delaware: Any resident
- Pennsylvania: Residents of Adams, York, and Lancaster counties.
- Northern Virginia: Residents of Arlington, Clarke, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William, Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Warren counties and the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Manassas Park.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents only will qualify.
The graduate program is fully-accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and students are eligible to apply for up to the full amount of tuition through FAFSA and other funding sources. Partial scholarship support is limited, and available on a first-come first-served basis.
