The MAgS Program consists of a core, track specializations, and an integrative, capstone exercise. The program begins with secen core courses, which, in a tightly integrated fashion, explore foundational material from the multiple perspectives of aging, management, and public policy. The core includes:
Following the core, students choose one of two track concentrations through which they engage in additional advanced course work. The tracks focus on aging service specializations and provide an opportunity for students to gain a greater depth of exposure to their chosen area.
Throughout the program, students participate in both team and individual projects as part of a capstone exercise, culminating in a final project addressing a relavant issue for a specific organization or agency. For students already working in aging, this project enables them to leverage what they have learned in a valuable way for their existing organizations.
